The pumpkins are coming…the pumpkins are coming… Gideon’s Bakehouse offers some sweet treats that pumpkin fans will be happy to wait in a queue to purchase.

November has arrived. At Walt Disney World, November means many things. One of those things is the arrival of the winter holiday season. Christmas decorations start appearing across Walt Disney World this month. Special after-hours parties happen on select nights at the theme parks. Also, a slight sign of the Thanksgiving season starts to be seen in select dining options at Walt Disney World in November.

However, Disney Springs “foodies” know that a new month means new limited-time cookies and cakes appear at Gideon’s Bakehouse. Last year, a new Pumpkin Bread Chocolate Crumb Cookie appeared as the November 2022 special cookie.

The arrival of pumpkin cookies made quite an impact. Steve Lewis, the mad scientist of Gideon’s Bakehouse, posted on social media last year that he ignored requests for a pumpkin-flavored cookie since he does not like to be told what to do. However, he went into his cookie lab. He came out of the lab with a pumpkin-flavored cookie.

We happily reviewed the Pumpkin Bread Chocolate Crumb Cookie last year. We found it good but still preferred the Bride of Frankenstein cookie that has been available in October for the spooky season for the previous two years. So, we felt we needed to give this cookie another try. I mean…any excuse to have Gideon’s cookies is a good excuse we can get behind.

Pumpkin Bread Chocolate Crumb Cookie

We tried this cookie again on the first day it was available. We enjoyed it more this year than last year. If you want to merge classic pumpkin flavor and the characteristic rich chocolate flavor found at this bakery, this cookie should be on your list to try this month. Compared to other pumpkin-flavored offerings this time of year at Walt Disney World, this one stands above those for sure.

November Gideon’s Bakehouse Limited-Time Cake – Pumpkin Chai Spice Cake

Though you maybe should be careful eating a rich cookie with a piece of cake, Gideon’s Bakehouse will also sell a pumpkin-flavored cake on Wednesdays and Saturdays in November. We did not try this cake on the opening morning. Another colleague will be trying it later today. We will meet with them to let you know what this cake is like for this month.

We know this cake has become a favorite of the Gideon’s Bakehouse team. This flavorful pumpkin spice cake is covered with a generous portion of spiced chai buttercream and topped with house-made candied pumpkin seeds. This will be available by the slice every Wednesday and Saturday in stores and available as a whole cake preorder for your Thanksgiving table. Whole Cakes can only be picked up at The East End Market location.

November Gideon’s Bakehouse Merchandise

In October 2023, Gideon’s Bakehouse transformed into Gideon’s Spookhouse. Several special menu items and limited-time merchandise items were sold to celebrate that. Demand for these types of products is high.

However, the November merchandise options look impressive, as usual. Via social media, Gideon’s Bakehouse wrote about the merchandise this way:
