From time to time, Walt Disney World needs to temporarily close attractions, entertainment and resorts for scheduled maintenance, upgrades and re-imagineering.  Thus, we wanted to provide you with a list of the current closures. As of today (July 1, 2021), we have compiled a list of July 2021 Refurbishments and closures throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. While no one wants their favorite resort or attraction to be down for refurbishment, they are necessary for for safety and to keep things looking great. Additionally, you’ll want to visit the “Know Before You Go” page for the most up to date information.

Major Updates from last month

June was a month which announced many things returning or set to return. These include; Fireworks & Nighttime Spectaculars at Magic Kingdom and Epcot (Happily Ever After, Epcot Forever), Casey’s Corner, Rope Drops, Majority of Pre-Shows, Single Rider Lines and much more. It was also announced that Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge will be reopening on August 26, 2021. Disney’s Boardwalk Inn and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will be reopening this month as well.

• The Wave… of American Flavors & The Wave Lounge at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will be unavailable this summer as we refurbish this space in time for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort. Reservations will be available through July 15, 2021
