If you want a sweet treat for the holiday season, the Holiday Hearth Desserts Holiday Kitchen has you covered. This functions as part of the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays event.

Through December 30, 2023, the Holiday Hearth Dessert Holiday Kitchen provides guests with plenty of holiday sugary treats. This food and beverage location at the Odyssey also serves as a place to meet Santa.

Walt Disney World describes this food and beverage location this way: “Cozy up with sweet treats, hot cocoa, blissful brews and more.” We went to find out if that was true.

The food items sold here include:

  • Red Velvet Mini Bundt Cake with Cream Cheese Icing
  • Salted Caramel Spaceship Earth Cookie
  • Mouse Crunch made with M&M’S chocolate candies
  • Mint Chocolate Mousse Wreath
  • Apple Caramel Crumb Cake
  • Chocolate-Covered Toffee Brittle
  • Peppermint Pinwheel Cookie.

We cannot recommend having all of these in one sitting. Even a professional food reporter would struggle with that. Even though we tasted all those desserts, we focused on the three new desserts at this Festival of the Holidays food and beverage location. They are:

  • Mint Chocolate Mousse Wreath
  • Apple Caramel Crumb Cake
  • Chocolate-covered Toffee Brittle.

We tried each of these new items at least once on the opening day of the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays. Two of our favorite items of this festival came from this holiday kitchen. Once again, our friends at GooToYou were a big help in the evaluation of the new food at the Festival of the Holidays.

Chocolate-covered Toffee Brittle at Holiday Hearth Desserts- $4.25

Holiday Hearth Desserts

For this resource, we will start with the Chocolate-covered Toffee Brittle. This innocent cookie-like-looking sweet treat can be deceiving. This qualifies as toffee brittle in cute cookie form. Of course, chocolate covers the toffee brittle, so do not let yourself be fooled into thinking you are biting into a soft cookie.

Despite that potential jaw-breaking issue, this presents a solid toffee flavor. The chocolate works fine, but guests need to like toffee to fully enjoy this option from Holiday Hearth Desserts.

Apple Caramel Crumb Cake – $4.75

Holiday Hearth Desserts

This crumb cake comes in its own box, providing a nice touch. The portion size for a treat under five dollars brings value for Epcot guests. This sweet treat could be shared if you are the type of person who does that.

The apple and caramel flavors with this mini-cake bring sweetness without being overpowering. If you are looking for a “safe” option for the picky eaters in your group, the Apple Caramel Crumb Cake should even make them happy.

Mint Chocolate Mousse Wreath– $5.00

Holiday Hearth Desserts

This might be our favorite item of the Festival of the Holidays. Still, it possesses some potential weaknesses for guests. You need to like mint for this one. Though we loved the peppermint flavor of the mousse, some expressed dislike for it.

This dessert gives a holiday vibe with the festive green shell encasing the mint mousse within. We found the shell and mousse combined in one bite made a good combination. The mousse also contains chocolate chips to balance the peppermint. Though those were unexpected, the chocolate chips added to the quality of this sweet treat.

Our best advice about this mousse would be to order it if you love mint. If not, Holiday Hearth Desserts offers plenty of other dessert options.

The Odyssey area at Epcot continues to offer quality festival food options for the Epcot festivals. This year’s Holiday Hearth Desserts at the Odyssey should have a sweet option for everyone.

We have placed some additional reviews of the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays new food options below. As always, eat like you mean it!
