Epcot International Festival of the Holidays started the day after the United States of America holiday of Thanksgiving. The Yukon Holiday Kitchen at Epcot features the new Seared Salmon. What did we think of this festival food item?

The year at Epcot closes with the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays, which runs through December 30, 2023. This festival involves the Candlelight Processional, holiday kitchens, and seasonal storytellers.

Still, as you might expect, we focused on the festival food. This year, one of our new targets could be found in the Canada Pavilion. A new Seared Salmon joins two other returning festival food items. The Yukon Holiday Kitchen has a Beef Bourguignon ($6.50) and a Snickerdoodle Cookie ($3.00) in addition to the Salmon we went to try on the opening day of the Festival of the Holidays. The Snickerdoodle Cookie functions as part of the Cookie Stroll.

For the record, the Snickerdoodle Cookie offers reasonable flavor. Also, the Beef Bourguignon functions as a highly rated returning item.

So, was the new salmon at this food and beverage location? The Yukon Holiday Kitchen presents guests with a new salmon dish. The Seared Salmon comes with butternut squash purée, maple-bourbon glaze, and fennel-arugula salad.

The festival booths in the Canada area of World Showcase have earned a solid reputation for above-average theme park food. This new item follows the traditional pattern of higher-quality options here.

The salmon, on opening day, came well prepared with a seared exterior. Everyone in our group thought the salmon presented above-average quality. We felt this dish provides an excellent merging of sweet and savory. In addition, we thought the salad enhanced the overall festival item. Also, the butter squash puree blends well with the salmon. Though the individual components of this festival item might not do as well, we enjoyed the combination of elements.

With all the sugary treats available at Epcot International Festival of the Holidays, guests may need a savory option. This seared salmon makes a good choice, in our opinion. As always, eat like you mean it!
