Dole Whip at Universal Orlando Looks Better This Week After Disney Price Hike

The tasty treat known as Dole Whip many consider to be a Disney parks exclusive. Nevertheless, people can find these pineapple flavored treats all over the USA and world. Still, these treats taste better at a theme park.

Recently, the price of Pineapple Dole Whip up went up at Magic Kingdom from $5.99 to $6.99. Aloha Isle creates a wonderful place for buying Dole Whips, but that snack appeals less for that higher price. You can find more information about recent price increases here.

Over at the theme park resort actually within Orlando proper, Universal Orlando, the price of this treat offers less pressure to your budget. Though I expect a slight price increase at Universal Orlando soon, the price point remains far lower at Universal Orlando.

The two main places guest acquire this treat at Universal Orlando are Schwab’s Pharmacy and Wimpy’s Burgers. Schwab’s Pharmacy creates this treat within theming of an old-fashioned soda/ice cream type store in Universal Studios Florida.

Wimpy’s Burger delivers excellent burgers and this treat over in Toon Lagoon in Islands of Adventure. Also, this treat exists at Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt in CityWalk. During very busy times, guests might find this treat at Marvel Super Hero Island Ice Cream in Islands of Adventure.

Why should you buy this treat at Universal Orlando instead of at Walt Disney World? In simple terms, a cup of this pineapple frozen treat costs $3.99. For about same size, that price point shines at $3 less than at Magic Kingdom. In addition, top two tier annual passholders get at least at 10% discount also.

Sorry to anger pineapple fans, I confess not being a big fan of pineapple flavor. Nevertheless, I sometimes enjoy this treat at Universal Orlando.

In fairness to Disney, the pineapple frozen treat tastes slightly better at Disney. Yet, the flavor difference earns maybe a 50 cents difference not $3. Also, I enjoy having this treat while also consuming beverages from my Coke freestyle cup. Recharging a Coke Freestyle cup at Universal Orlando in park costs $10.99 before any discounts.

I love Disney. Still, my vacation budget stretches much farther at Universal Orlando. If you are craving a Dole Whip, give Universal Orlando’s version a try on your next visit.
