Top 5 Halloween LEGO Sets

It’s October. The Christmas stuff is already invading the stores. You’ve run out of options for Halloween decorations. What do you do?! Buy LEGO kits, of course!

Although spooky themes aren’t typically what we think of when it comes to the interlocking brick system the company is famous for, the company has created several kits that would make incredible Halloween decorations. So, if you’ve got the cash and the patience, here’s our list of the Top 5 Halloween LEGO sets!

#1 Haunted House

It’s simple. There’s no IP associated with it, and it does what it says on the tin. This 3,231-piece set ends up standing 27″ tall. Since it completely closes up, it also makes a great addition to other city builds. The catch? It’s $299.99.

What further sets this Haunted House apart from others on the list is that it is both app-enabled and comes with something that should be familiar with Disney’s Hollywood Studios: The working elevator drops, similar to the Tower of Terror!

#2 Hocus Pocus: The Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage

Earlier this year, it was announced that the Sanderson Sisters from Disney’s Hocus Pocus franchise would be getting their very own set. Based on the original 1993 film, the rundown cottage includes several cast members.

It is also possibly one of the best-looking rustic buildings to ever come out of LEGO. Even on its own without the IP, this thing looks sweet. Well, it should, considering it is $229.99!

#3 Mystery Mansion

Sometimes, the company creates something mixed with an IP you’re not a massive fan of, but the overall kit makes up for it. Such was the case with the Scooby-Doo Mystery Mansion set. Although not as detailed as the Haunted House, the design of the Mansion is quite fun. It also comes with a vampire and glow-in-the-dark mini-figure.

Sadly, this one has been retired for a few years. It still can be picked up via Amazon, but get ready to pay $300+.

#4 Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters

This kit has been retired; however, it occasionally pops up on eBay and other websites. I purchased this one back when it was first released and was glad I did.

The 4,634-piece set captures moments from the first two Ghostbusters films and pays tribute to the late Harold Ramis, who had passed away not long before set #75827 was released.

I added a lighting kit to it; there’s no way to beat this as the centerpiece of a Halloween display. Expect to pay $800+ now for the Ghostbusters set.

#5 Mini Haunted Mansion

Sadly, LEGO has yet to make a large-scale replica of Disney’s Haunted Mansion. However, fans of the Anaheim original can get a scaled-down version for only $27.99. Not only does the mini kit replicate the beloved original’s exterior, but it also hides some details from the ride’s interior!

What did you think of our little list? Will you be using LEGOs in your Halloween decor this year? Let us know in the comments section below!
