It’s official — the second season of The Mandalorian begins streaming on Disney+ on October 30, 2020.
Disney made the announcement on the official Disney+ Twitter account earlier this morning.

It’ll be interesting to see if Disney continues streaming the hit Star Wars series in the same manner as it did last year — an episode a week — or if they’ll capitalize on the series’ popularity by “pulling a Mulan” and charging a premium to watch the series early.
Is The Mandalorian Season 2 in Trouble?
Could there be some behind-the-scenes drama from the rumored Lucasfilm “civil war” that is spilling over into The Mandalorian?
Movie critic and YouTuber Grace Randolph tweeted last night that she’s been hearing the trailer was delayed because of behind-the-scenes issues.
S1 of the #Mandalorian had it’s first trailer August 23rd for a Nov 12 debut…
Meanwhile S2 is supposed to debut in October, has been wrapped for months, yet still no trailer.
But oh no, nothing could POSSIBLY be wrong 🙄🤣💯#StarWars pic.twitter.com/vdHGA6lmLV

I was clear yesterday re my #TheMandalorian S2 news:
Trailer delayed for reshoots & to be re-edited
AND there’s a big problem w/ the show – happened back when originally filming and it’s already been dealt with
which is why I said expect a story shift mid-season.#StarWars pic.twitter.com/ikj1kLzfvz

So the question is, could Disney and/or Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy be meddling with The Mandalorian now that the show has proven to be such an unexpected hit? It’s the one bright spot in an otherwise decaying Star Wars franchise, and if we know one thing about Disney it’s that they tend to look for ways to bleed as much money out of unexpectedly popular properties as possible.
I mean, the amount of Baby Yoda merch that’s clogging store shelves now is mind-blowing.
So will lightning strike twice, or will season 2 of The Mandalorian be a dud? Are you expected about it? Comment below and let us know!
