New Menu Options at Urban Pantry Aventura Hotel

My favorite Universal Orlando Resort hotel greeted me again recently. I have many reasons to love Aventura Hotel. In fairness, Aventura falls short in certain areas, especially for families with children. However, Aventura features the best dining at the value or value plus resort hotels. The combination of Bar 17 Bistro and Urban Pantry offers an incredible variety of non-traditional theme park resort food. During my most recent stay at Aventura, I discovered many updates to the menus at the Urban Pantry food court.

These menus looked great. I changed some of my dining plans for this trip based on new items spotted on the menu board there. For lunch and dinner, Urban Pantry offers a wok/sushi station, a roast station (think burgers/sandwiches), gelato stand, and a pizza station. In comparing the menu board from February 2022 to April 2022, guests can see many additions.

Starting with Wok/Sushi station, the sushi offerings have been adjusted some. The main difference revolves around better explanations of each individual sushi option. The wok section menu added a poke bowl. The poke bowl comes with a choice of tuna or salmon for $12. I have added this to my list of new menu items to try.

The pizza station added several new pizza options. The previous pizza menu offered solid but rather basic pizza options. We now see options like Margherita pizza and BBQ chicken pizza. Those options seem popular. On the night this article is being typed, the pizza station was sold out of both of those. This caused me to select dinner from the roast station.

Speaking of the roast station, many new items appear on the menu here. Several of them offer intriguing combinations of flavors. Some of these burger additions are:

The Bacon Jam

The Cheddar and Onion

Mushroom and Swiss

The Gobbler (replaced previous turkey burger with guacamole topping)

The chicken sandwich offered here reverted to the Buffalo and Blue from the former Buffalo Chicken Sandwich offering. A Spicy Mahi fish sandwich appears on this menu now. The chicken wings look upgraded on this menu. Also, a half rotisserie chicken dinner appears on the menu board now. In addition, guests may buy “grab and go” rotisserie chicken here now.

Currently, I lack knowledge of the quality of most of these items. However, my dining plans will be modified slightly to enjoy some of these offerings soon. Please be on the lookout for reviews of these menu items. On the surface, these menu changes offer many great opportunities for diners at The Urban Pantry.
