The Harmony Barbershop on Main Street, USA in the Magic Kingdom will reopen again on July 31, 2022. The doors of this famous barbershop have been closed since the Walt Disney World Resort closed for the COVID pandemic in 2020. However, guests to the Magic Kingdom don’t have to wait much longer to get their haircut on Main Street, USA.

The Harmony Barbershop is a fully operational barbershop. What most people know it for is its special first birthday haircuts. My daughter didn’t have her first haircut there, but she did have her first haircut at Disney there. They treated her very specially. She was treated like a Princess and given a certificate, pair of Mickey Ears saying “My First Haircut,” and some pixie dust for her hair. All the cast members in the barbershop were extremely friendly and outgoing.

We didn’t make advance reservations at the time we took my daughter to get her haircut. We walked up and got on a waitlist. We were told roughly how long to be back on Main Street for her time in the chair. It seems that when the barbershop reopens in July that a limited number of reservations will be available on the My Disney Experience App. The date for the reservations to open is June 28th.

When the Harmony Barbershop was previously operational, they offered Adult and Child haircuts along with the “My First Haircut” meant for toddler aged visitors. Before the pandemic closure, the prices were $18 for a Child’s Haircut and $19 for an Adult haircut. The “My First Haircut” package was $25. There have been no news to report on new prices for these services. It is being reported that cast members will have special pixie dust and magic for the 50th Anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort.
