Want To Help Laid Off Cast Members? There’s a Facebook Group For That.

I’m assuming that if you’re reading this blog it’s because you have some love or interest in the Disney parks. As such, I’m sure you know how hard the Cast Members work to make Disneyland and Walt Disney World as magical as possible.

Sadly, due to the pandemic, some have had to leave the “magic” but that doesn’t stop them from doing what they can to keep making magic on their own. Many have started doing side jobs and using their skills to keep themselves afloat. That’s were the Facebook group Ear For Each Other comes in.

What is Ear For Each Other?

Ear For Each Other is a group that highlights the work of Cast Members. It’s not for other people to list services or items for sale, but it’s a place for the impacted Cast Members to sell services, crafts, and more.

Here’s the “About Us” write-up:

“The mission of this page is to provide a space where furloughed and impacted Cast can showcase their side hustles. Let’s help our community keep the lights on during this difficult time.
This will not last forever. This is a moment. Let’s help each other get through this moment. Thank you for helping those in need!
You can search for specific services or crafts. Some of the more popular ones seem to involve ride sharing, gift baskets or special decorations for special events and things for Resort Delivery, Food items, Disney Boutique-esqe make-overs, and more!

There are rules for the group.

When visiting the group, please visit the albums and use the search tools provided to view the work of our impacted CMs. Please leverage these tools to locate services. The goal is to reserve the wall for CMs so that they may showcase their side hustles.
If you are not a furloughed Cast Member, if you are a contractor, 3rd party participant, PI or CP, we kindly request that you do not advertise in this group.
Remember the Magic/Staying on purpose: Requests for items that infringe on intellectual property such as Zoom calls with Princesses or Phone calls from Mickey will be declined. Some services, such as baby sitting or nanny requests, cannot be approved in this group.
Admins are not responsible, and assume no liability, for the work or services provided by a participant in the group. Members will engage, or enter into agreements, with a participant at their own risk.
Thank you,
EFEO Team

I’m mentioning this group so you can join and find custom services from furloughed Cast Members.

Even though we are critical of Disney from time to time, we truly appreciate the efforts of the Cast Members. Over the years they have been fantastic to us, so now we want to do what we can to give some love back!

I want to add, that it’s worth joining just to read the stories from people who hired the Cast Members and what a great job they did. Truly, bringing the magic is what these people excel at.

What do you think? Comment and let us know!
