Walt Disney World’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Annual Passholder Preview Dates Released

Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be opening their Galaxy’s Edge area on August 29, 2019. Annual Passholders (AP) will have special preview nights before the official opening.

Annual Passholder Preview Information

Platinum, Platinum Plus and Premier Passholders only

Email invitations will soon be sent out for the opportunity to register for the Galaxy’s Edge preview.  The dates will be available from August 17 to August 21, 2019.

You can only attend if you have an advance registration and your AP must be activated and eligible to enter. “Event capacity and number of reservations for this event is limited and subject to availability.”

Keep in mind this preview is only for Platinum, Platinum Plus and Premier Passholders and reservations are limited to one reservation per passholder.  Reservations can not be modified and are nontransferable- they can’t be sold or traded.

Also note that if the Platinum, Platinum Plus or Premier Passholder would like to register a guest to come with them, that guest must also be a Platinum, Platinum Plus or Premier Passholder, be listed in their Family & Friends list and have opted in the “share All My Plans with you.”

  • Oga’s Cantina*
    Travelers of all ages can cool off at Oga’s Cantina* with unique libations available for purchase.
  • Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers**
    Build your very own custom lightsaber for $199.99 plus tax. Payment is due upon arrival. This entitles a lightsaber builder plus one spectator entrance to Savi’s Workshop.”

Information about the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Offering

The Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run ride and other attractions will be available on first-come, first-served basis.  If you attend as a qualifying passholder you might not have enough time to experience everything during your time slot. There might also be wait times due to other authorized guests.

What is offered, the prices and experiences are subject to restrictions and can be changed or cancelled without notice.

Oga’s Cantina

Seating is limited and is mostly standing room, so seating is not guaranteed and you might be seated with separate parties.
There is a 2 drink limit per guest and if you want to order alcohol you must be over 21 years of age with a valid photo ID (ID required.)

Savi’s Workshop 

If you want to participate in this experience please note that admittance is limited to a builder and guest– and at least one person in the party must be 14 years old or older. Only one lightsaber per builder, per experience.

The payment of $199.99 (plus tax) per lightsaber is required upon arrival at this location and they are nonrefundable and not eligible for AP (or other) discounts.

Qualifying Annual Passholders will have the opportunity to reserve a spot via the email invitation, so keep an eye out for those.
