After years of waiting, Toy Story‘s Woody has finally joined the video game franchise he was made for. The famous sheriff is now part of Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption II!

But how did an iconic star from a beloved children’s movie series get involved with a mature-rated Wild West simulator? Well, partners, it’s all thanks to the magic of editing.

YouTube creator eli_handle_b․wav has been putting characters in surprising situations and settings for a while now. Over the past year, the channel has uploaded videos like Borat in Resident Evil 4 and my personal favorite, Leslie Nielsen in Detroit: Become Human!

In the latest video, the pull-string sheriff brings his upbeat and mostly heroic style of law enforcement to the rough and unforgiving setting of Rockstar’s 2018 game.

eli_handle_b․wav combined footage of Woody from the four Toy Story films along with a Freecam mod for Red Dead Redemption II. The whole thing is pretty impressive, considering the time it would take to trim the Toy Story character out frame by frame.

Below, I’ve linked some of the channel’s other standout shorts, including Kermit the Frog in Half-Life 2. Honestly, that shows the Muppets far more respect than Disney has.

Considering the Walt Disney Company’s buying spree, I wouldn’t doubt that we’ll see things like a Home Alone crossover with things like Toy Story. It would probably work.

The sentient toys have to help a child protect the house from robbers and maybe an army of evil toys. There. Done. Now, pay me, Mouse. I just created your next milkable series of movies, action figures, and lunch boxes.
