I can’ honestly say I have never seen anything like this, nor did I think I would ever see anything like this, and I’m happy I got to see it. For May the 4th, the city council of Kyle, Texas dressed up as Star Wars characters for their meeting.
Mayor Travis “Boba Fett” Mitchell started off the meeting.

They have a lot of fun with it. Some of the roll call responses are complete with sound effects or attempts at impersonating the characters.
As part of the meeting they did their “first, one-of-a-kind, May the 4th, Star Wars day proclamation. We do not have anything to read. It’s a little bit more about the look.”
There was a reason for it.
Mayor Travis “Boba Fett” Mitchell said that he and some staff members did this and went to schools and waved at students and gave candy and snacks to some of the teachers for Teacher Appreciation week.

I just want to take a minute to appreciate how cool this is. All Star Wars politics aside, this was very sweet of them to bring Star Wars to, well, politics.
I just wanted to share. Hats off you the city council of Katy, Texas! May the Force be with you!
