Universal Orlando’s Mardi Gras celebrationwill be coming to an end in just over a month. The floats, festivities, beads, and beautiful costumes will wrap up on April 24th. So with the time left, why not also make a trip to the Tribute Store, your one-stop location for all the seasonally-themed merchandise?
The Mardi Gras Tribute Store is located next to The Mummy rollercoaster, or for us old-timers, just across the street from what used to be the Ghostbusters’ firehouse.
This shop isn’t just merchandising alone; it’s got the typical Universal Studios flair. Within the walls of the Tribute Store, guests get to see a bit of the work that goes into each year’s seasonal events. A bit of a behind-the-scenes tour, similar to what we journalists view during the press events. In some cases, typically during Halloween Horror Nights, the Tribute Store is worth the price of admission all on its own.
Step inside Universal Orlando’s Mardi Gras Tribute Store and enter the float factory to see how these amazing floats are created. You’ll make your way through every step of the process as you get a peek at sketches, materials, models, costumes and more. Plus, you can purchase masks, beads, t-shirts and tasty Mardi Gras-themed treats.
But what is there to buy? Is it worth my time and money? Well, our friend Kristin Barron was on site and took lots of pictures from inside the store. Check out our gallery below:
