As predicted Disney has gotten in on the face mask sales. They had already been offering them in Asian parks for years. Now that there is a demand for them here, and because guests might be required to wear them to enter the parks when they reopen, Disney is now taking pre-orders on ShopDisney.com with an expected availability date of June 15, 2020.

“Disney is also donating “one million cloth face masks for children and families in underserved and vulnerable communities across the U.S. that will be distributed by MedShare (www.medshare.org). Disney will also donate all profits from the sales in the U.S. of Disney’s cloth face masks to Medshare, up to $1 million, now through September 30, 2020.”

There are several design collections. Each set comes with four designs and is available in sizes: Small, Medium, and Large.

This all has me wondering now. When the parks reopen and they require masks, is this going to be a case of you have to buy their masks to enter?  That way they can say that they know everyone has proper masks?  I’m not saying they would be wrong to do that, it makes sense and it’s their park so they can demand it, but if you need to wear different masks each day buying a pack or two for each member of the family might be something else you need to budget ahead for.

My husband is wondering if they’re going to start doing Dooney and Bourke, and Vera Bradley masks, or hashtag masks, or Disney wall masks for a lot more money than the “cheaper 4 pack.” He’s probably not wrong, although I would likely buy a Vera Bradley one.
