If you are headed over to Universal Studios Hollywood next month, the new Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash attraction will open on March 27th.
Here’s a brief ride synopsis:
The attraction focuses on Adoption Day with guests “assuming the roles of stray puppies” on the quest to find a forever home. Ride vehicles are even made to look like cardboard boxes.
The new ride “will blend live, dimensional and animated characters with hyper-realistic media and projection mapping to fully immerse guests in a bustling New York City landscape.”
Kind of like we’ve seen with Disney’s Flight of Passage, facial recognition software will identify guests as puppies for the ride.
Where is it located?
The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash! will be located on “Pets Place”(which was Baker Street,) adjacent to the Despicable Me Minion Mayhem attraction. This area has been transformed with new storefront facades. Pets Place is meant to “capture the charm of a busy NY street, including an iconic NYC subway station.”
Please Note: when this attraction opens Virtual Lines will be in place.
Guest can access the Virtual Line through the Universal Studios Hollywood app or the Virtual Line Kiosk that will be located in the “New York City subway station” near the attraction.
