ATTENTION: THE FOLLOWING REPORT IS A RUMOR. PLEASE TAKE THE FOLLOWING STORY WITH A GRAIN OF SALT.

The next film in the MCU The Marvels is set to release theatrically next month. The film is the sequel to the 2019 film Captain Marvel starring Brie Larson as Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel. In addition, the film also ties into both the WandaVision series and Ms. Marvel series on Disney+ with Monica Rambeau aka Photon (played by: Teyonah Parris) and Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel (Played by: Man Villani) forming a trio with the captain.

However, despite Marvel trying to churn up the hype train the film is predicted to have the lowest opening for any MCU film in years with a $70 – $80 Million debut. Not only do fans seem to lack any interest in the once popular Captain, but fans who have seen either WandaVision or Ms. Marvel have no idea who these characters are or why they are there. But Marvel may try to use some nostalgia bait to try and bring in fans.

A recent rumor has been spearing around the website formerly known as Twitter that a former legacy character, specifically from the Fox-era of the X-Men, will make a cameo appearance in the post-credit sequence of the film to tie into the upcoming Deadpool 3.

The rumor was seemingly started when CNBC writer Daniel Richtman claimed that someone with “perfect casting” would be making an appearance. Not long afterward a fan referenced a previous post which name dropped Beast from 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand played by Kelsey Grammer. The rumor seemed to spread more when influencer Grace Randolph commented on the matter.

Despite fans being mixed about the film, many cite Kelsey Grammer’s casting as Beast to be one of the best highlights of the film. The actor, best known for more comedic roles like in Frasier, gave a well-delivered and believable interpretation of the character. His inclusion would further imply that Deadpool 3 will be an X-Men reunion before fully merging with the MCU.

While somewhat an exciting prospect, it is still a rumor. Not to mention it is tied to a film that is set to be a box office disappointment. We will see if this appearance is real and if it will have any influence on the film’s reception.
