Composer John Williams, known for many iconic Hollywood soundtracks, and especially Star Wars, has allegedly returned to record yet another theme for a galaxy far, far away.
According to Variety, Mr. Williams has recorded the theme song for the upcoming ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ show coming to Disney+. Apparently recording in “secret” last week with the Los Angeles orchestra “under tight security.” That wasn’t too tight it seems.
Many fans of Star Wars are going to be thrilled to hear that the 90-year-old composer has returned for yet another go at a galactic theme. Having recorded music for the sci-fi franchise since the beginning, it’s only fitting he return for this as well.
It is unknown if the new show will have the iconic Obi-Wan music in it, but I’m willing to bet that it will be. How could one do music for a show and not have the characters theme play into it somehow.
We will find out when ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ debuts on Disney+ on May 25, 2022.
