Disney Plus and Lucasfilm have been filling their various Star Wars series with many callbacks to the Original Trilogy and Prequels, but will we ever see Darth Vader in his own series? Hayden Christensen may have hinted at it recently!

Total Film (via Games Rader) had an exclusive interview with the Star Wars prequel actor where he hinted that we may not have seen the last Darth Vader or Anakin Skywalker on Disney Plus. Although his comments are a bit nebulous, there may be hope for Hayden Christensen fans:

“The extent of this journey, I think, remains to be seen, but what a privilege to get to come back and do this, and to be a part of this project.“

It’s not a lot to go on, I know. However, I’m glad Christensen is getting a chance to improve his portrayal of the fallen Jedi. The direction of the Prequels did a massive disservice to several actors.

Christensen is undoubtedly happy to return, even for only a few guest spots. It would be interesting to see the actor expand on what Vader was doing between episodes without shoehorning in Inquisitors and other Jedi who magically evaded not only the Empire but also Yoda’s connection to the Force:

“He gets knighted as Darth Vader towards the end, and for a couple of scenes I get to put the suit on. But my journey with the character was with Anakin Skywalker. But the character? He’s such a complex character. And now, getting to explore the mindset and the emotional state of Darth Vader, has been a lot of fun.“

Hayden Christensen appeared in the Ahsoka and Obi-Wan Kenobi series, playing the dual roles of Anakin and Vader. After the end of animated Star Wars shows: Clone Wars and Rebels, we were given some closure to the former Jedi’s arch with Ahsoka.
