Hurricane Isaias Downgraded To Tropical Storm, But Will Likely Become a Hurricane Again At Landfall

A couple of months ago I wrote a story talking about how meteorologists were predicting that the chance for 2020 Hurricane/Tropical storms could be ‘higher than usual’. Now, the storm season is upon us with Hurricane Isaias projected to hit Florida on Sunday, due to the warm Gulf stream water and the storm hitting the land according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Orange County is under a Tropical Storm warning but the storm is predicted to stay to the east of the state. Unless the path changes, they will face a lot less of an impact in the central part of Florida.

According to Click Orlando:

Impacts will be much lower the further inland you go. Through the I-4 corridor, tropical storm force wind gusts will be possible It won’t be a washout Sunday into Monday, but gusty tropical downpours will be likely.

Orlando will likely see a “Moderate Impact” with wind gusts 30-50 miles per hour, and tropical downpours with 2-4 inches of rain possible.

I’m sure the guests visiting the parks are probably thinking something like “First the pandemic and now this?!” But just keep track of what’s going on and prepare accordingly.

Walt Disney World is already relocating guests from tents at Fort Wilderness and bringing it items that could be damaged according to WDWNT on Twitter:

Reportedly Walt Disney World is also taking precautions around the parks for the potential wind gusts and rain. The parks have not been scheduled to close at this time.

I know it’s already hard but 2020 just said “hold my Dole Whip!”

What do you think? Comment and let us know!
