Who doesn’t love Ufufy characters? Now you can make your own version of Ufufy characters on your Easter Eggs.

Here’s what you need:

• Colorful construction paper
• Scissors
• Large white eggs
• Safety pin
• Water
• Food coloring
• Vinegar
• Hot glue
• Brown and pink felt tip pens

1. First you are going get your paper pieces ready. Disney Family has it broken down by character for you!

Stitch- light blue, pale blue, pink and blue paper.

With the light blue paper cut out 2 feet, 2 arms, pieces for the ears and a rectangle for the base.  From the pale blue, cut out the chest and eye pieces. Use the pink paper for his ears, and the blue paper for his nose.

 Winnie the Pooh

Cut out all the pieces using a light yellow paper. You will need: 2 ears, 2 arms, 2 feet, and the base.

Piglet

Piglet will need pieces cut out of light and darker pink paper.  Use the light pink to cut out 2 ears, 2 arms, 2 feet. Then use the darker pink paper to make his nose.

Daisy Duck

For Daisy you will need white paper, yellow paper and pink paper.

Cut out 2 arms and a base from white paper. The cut out a nose and 2 feet from yellow. Finally create her bow from pink paper.

Donald Duck

For Donald Duck you will need white, yellow, pink, brown and light blue paper.

Cut his 2 arms and the base from white paper. Then make his beak and 2 feet from the yellow paper. Use the pink paper to make his bow tie. Then finish with his hat made from brown and light blue paper.

2. Now you Hard Boil or Hollow Eggs for Dying

You prepare your eggs by hard boiling them, or, if you prefer you can hollow them and use them longer.  To hollow and egg just poke holes at each end, using the safety pin. The bottom hole needs to be larger for the egg to pass through easier. Then you blow into the top of the egg and empty out the contents. Rinse and dry.

3. Make Your Dye

This project has instructions to make your own dye using food coloring. This keeps the colors muted.

To make dye, mix 1/2 cup hot water, 1 teaspoon vinegar, 15-20 drops of food coloring. Follow the steps to create one cup of each color: pink, red, yellow, blue and purple.

4. Dip Your Eggs

To color your  Donald and Daisy eggs you only want to dip your eggs half way in the color.

• Donald- blue
• Daisy- purple

The remaining eggs you will dip the entire egg into the color. With Piglet and Winnie the Pooh then getting dipped half way in another color.

• Stitch- blue
• Winnie the Pooh- yellow, then dip bottom half  in red.
• Piglet- pink, then dip bottom half into the red.

Let the eggs dry

5. Add Paper Bases and Attach Parts

“Wrap the paper bases around the eggs and tape the ends together. Glue all the feet onto their bases. Then glue the rest of the paper pieces to their corresponding eggs.”

6. Use Brown and Pink Markers to Add Details

Use a brown felt tip pen/marker to add the features to the characters.

7. “Finally, add 2 ear notches on Stitch, and dark pink lines on Piglet’s body.”

8. Display

And of course all cutting and glueing should be done by an adult or using adult supervision. Hot glue guns are dangerous and shouldn’t be handled by children.
