Two and a half new Marvel figures just appeared on Hot Toys’ official website. A half a figure? Yup, we’ll get to that. But, first, let’s kick things off with one of the most popular mutants in all Marvel multimedia.
It may be the bone-clawed version of Wolverine, but X-MEN: Days of Future Past gave us one of the best interpretations of Logan that Hugh Jackman has ever done. Hell, they even got the signature hair just right. To celebrate not only a great Wolvie but also a spectacular film, Hot Toys has created this new accessory-heavy 1/6th scale figure. Logan comes with multiple outfits, and the special edition includes parts of a Sentinel.
Wolverine has yet to show up over at Sideshow Collectibles. So, I cannot precisely say Logan’s release date or price range. He’ll probably come in at the $300 mark and ship in 2023. But, that’s all a guess, keep in mind.
Andrew Garfield is getting some more love from Hot Toys. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 suit, which also appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home, is pulling double duty. Regardless if you’re a fan of both or only one of those films, you can now get this specific Spidey costume. This Spider-Man is kind of lite on accessories. He’ll come with an interchangeable Peter Parker head, mask, web effects, interchangeable hands, and a display base with a flexible posing rod.
If you’ve seen the previous ASM Hot Toys figures, you’ll know that they can be hit or miss as far as the webbing and stitching on the costume. This one looks a little better, but I’d have to see the final product before making a purchase.
Now for the 1/2 figure, I mentioned earlier. The Lizard from Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man: No Way Home is getting a figure, but only from the waist up. Essentially, The Lizard is more of a display base for Spidey than anything else. Dr. Connors’s reptilian side has no articulation from the looks of it. The diorama base comes with a flexible pole to pose Spidey on, and the concoction the Peters came up with to turn Connors back into a human is also included.
