It’s not a magical day for three Disney employees in the Polk County area, including two that worked at the Walt Disney World resort directly. They were arrested along with about 106 other people by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office during their “Operation March Sadness 2” campaign.
The operation was a six-day undercover investigation that was focused on arresting people suspected in human trafficking, child predators and prostitution.
In the arrests were four Disney employees including Xavier Jackson, 27, who was working as a lifeguard at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and a 24-year-old Orlando man, Wilakson Fidele, who works at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café in the Magic Kingdom. There was also 45-year-old Ralph Leese who works in Disney’s IT department.
Sheriff Grady Judd gave this statement during a press conference:
“Did I mention that he just happens to be a lifeguard at the Polynesian Resort for Disney. You think there’s a few children around there? That’s right, I didn’t stutter. He was a lifeguard at the Polynesian Resort. And was bragging about that.”
Jackson apparently sent images and graphically discussed topics to an undercover detective who was posing as a 14-year-old girl.
A Disney representative talked to WESH 2 News and said that “all three of them have been placed on unpaid leave.”
Not everyone arrested was involved with predator activities, most all of the arrests were involved with prostitution.
