Create Disney Pixar Horror Movies This Halloween with AI and DALL·E!

AI art is here, and it is not going away. It’s like junk food. There’s not much value to it in the long run, but it is quick. Now, you can easily use Bing’s DALL·E 3 Image Generator to create things that will probably never be, like Disney Pixar horror movie posters! This article will show you how to make “mostly” family-friendly nightmare fuel.

You’ll get the best results by not loading DALL·E with lots of prompts. The more words we put into the request, the worse the results. So, we just typed in “Walt Disney horror movie poster.” This is what we got:

Typically, DALL·E will spit out three to four images as a default. As you can see, each one has a vastly different style. What comes next is where it gets tricky.

Microsoft has neutered the DALL·E 3 image generator. Shortly after it launched for public use, the already nebulous Terms of Use soon denied us from making even the most tepid images.

If you put in a famous person’s name or even a fictional character, you’d get a warning that the image would be “dangerous” or whatever. So, we had to trick the Bing version of DALL·E to make us what we wanted.

We got banned for a few hours when we asked the AI image generator to make a poster for Walt Disney On Ice. I was endangering the safety of a man who had been dead for 57 years.

Through trial and error, we found that the fewer words we put in, the better the odds that the images wouldn’t get flagged. With only the “Pixar Michael Myers Horror Poster,” we got the following:

OK, the first one is good, and the second one is a bit clunky. Let’s try a horror movie villain who is a bit more complex. What will the “Pixar Freddy Krueger” prompt make?

Ah, that’s better. Let’s risk a more direct prompt. Here’s what we got when we asked for a “Freddy Krueger movie poster showing Pixar’s greatest fear.”

It’s so close to perfect! Will Bing let me create a Hellraiser Pixar poster?

What the heck is all of that? The one at the bottom right looks like it’s from Aardman Animations. This one is a fail.

We’ll go back to the basics and see if we can get a Pixar’d Chucky:

It’s good, but not very Pixar.

Maybe something a bit simpler and more generic? “Pixar horror” shot out these weird gems:

Ghostface and Monsters, Inc.? That could be interesting. I’ve got no idea what’s going on with the one on the top right. However, the final one of the three is pretty sweet.

At this point, we were starting to get more warnings. So, try to enjoy the Image Creator while it lasts. While other AI image generators exist, the results we’ve obtained from them so far have been lackluster or very generic. Let’s hope MS gets the hint that AI “art” shouldn’t be censored.
