Walt Disney World has a lot of new attractions and features coming in 2020. In Epcot, the France pavilion has undergone some amazing transformations and will soon host a new attraction and a new restaurant!

First let’s talk about the attraction–Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

This brand new ride, opening Summer 2020, will take shrink guests down to the size of rats and take a “culinary adventure with Chef Remy.”

Here’s the ride description from the Walt Disney World site:

You’ll race across Gusteau’s kitchen floor aboard special trackless ride vehicles, which you can see in the image at the top of this post – just released today – as Disney Imagineers work on bringing this attraction to life.

This new attraction is extra special because it is the first ride added to the World Showcase in 31 years. The last brand new ride that was built in the World Showcase was the Malestrom, and that is now Frozen Ever After.

We aren’t sure how similar it is to the one in Disneyland Paris, but the ride vehicles look very similar.

With this new attraction Epcot’s France pavilion is also getting a new “Crêperie” restaurant.

This new eatery will be a “hybrid” quick service/table service restaurant that will feature a menu by celebrity chef, Jérôme Bocuse. With inspiration taken from the Brittany region of France the restaurant will serve sweet and savory crepes (galettes.)

I really like that this will be both quick and table service. It’s nice for people who have differing budged or dining styles. I’ll applaud Disney for that move because it’s a good one!

No opening date has been announced for this new restaurant, but I would think it would be either the same time or close to the same time that Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure opens.

Here’s a look at the construction as of a couple weeks ago from @bioreconstruct on Twitter, and as always give him a like and a follow. I highly recommend following that account!

So there you have it. A quick look at the new expansion coming to Epcot’s World Showcase France pavilion. The ride will open in summer, and as soon as we have more information and exact dates we will let you know! Stay tuned!
