Celebrate Earth Day For a Week at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Earth Day is coming on April 22 but the Walt Disney World Resort is going to celebrate at Disney’s Animal Kingdom for a whole week. From April 18-24 guests can enjoy special offerings at the park.

Stop at the Conservation Station to take part in the Animation Experience. There Disney artists will take you step by step through drawing some of your favorite characters by using the animals as inspiration.

Of course make sure you take a Kilimanjaro Safari to learn more about animals and the efforts Disney is making to through their Disney Conservation Fund.

 

During this week there will also be a limited-time special Wilderness Explorer activity with a special Earth Day Nature badge. So make sure to check that out as well!

Guests can also watch a special Disney Character Cruise will take place on the Discovery River.

There will be a special PhotoPass Magic Shot featuring Wall-E and Eve.

There are also two special, limited-edition cupcakes and special merchandise coming for the event!

 

It will also be the 24th birthday for Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

If you can’t visit the parks for Earth Day you can always celebrate at home by participating in area clean-up events, making bird feeders, planting trees, scheduling a recycling event, upcycling trash into useable items and more!
