Disney has just posted a liability statement for guests visiting Disney Springs ahead of it’s reopening on May 20th. This lines up with what we had been hearing could be coming to Disney parks as well as Disney shopping areas.
It says:
“We have taken enhanced health and safety measures–for you, our other Guests, and Cast Members. You must follow all posted instructions while visiting Walt Disney World Resort.
An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.
By visiting Walt Disney World Resort, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
Let’s keep each other healthy and safe. ”
So when guests visit the area they are agreeing to accept the liability and blame if they get sick from visiting the area.
I’m sure the parks will have a similar notice/warning for guests.
Disney Springs will reopen 3rd party businesses on May 20th and Disney owned restaurants and businesses on May 27th. By the the state should be moved into Phase 1 and 50% capacity guidelines will be in effect.
