The Late-2019 video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was a massive success when it originally launched. Receiving mostly positive reviews from outlets and Star Wars fans. The game reportedly sold around 10 million units worldwide on all platforms it was released on. It is one of the most successful Star Wars games in recent years.

The Star Wars Jedi series will of course be continuing with the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Survivor scheduled for release in 2023 for next-gen consoles. But it appears that the Star Wars Jedi series will not be limited to just video games.

A new rumor via Kristian Harloff suggests that a television series focusing on the young Jedi Cal Kestis is in development for Disney Plus. With Disney and Lucasfilm looking to increase their output of Star Wars content for Disney Plus it appears that they wish to take the success of the recent game and apply it to multiple mediums. 



Actor Cameron Monaghan who played the game’s protagonist (both as the voice and live action reference) is said to have re-signed with Lucasfilm to portray the character in live action. It is unknown if any other actors and/or characters from the game(s) will reprise their roles.

This marks the latest rumored series from Lucasfilm as multiple shows such as an Inquisitor Reva series and even a Darth Vader series have been thrown around the rumor mill. But with the Star Wars Jedi series being as popular as it is it would make sense for Disney to want to play it safe and adapt a fan pleasing series into a television show.
