Starhawk And The Ravagers Returning In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3?

In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 we were given a glimpse into the world of Starhawk and the Ravagers. Known action star Sylvester Stallone played Stakar Ogord AKA Starhawk. He, along with Yondu, were part of the original Guardians of the Galaxy in the comics. In the MCU version of the GotG they were instead called “The Ravagers” and are a group of thieves and outlaws, while the Guardians were based on a more recent incarnation.

At the end of the second film as one of the mid-credit sequences we saw Stakar Ogord “Bringing the band back together” after the death of their former teammate, Yandu. This team consists of Aleta Ogord (Yeoh), Martinex (Michael Rosenbaum), Charlie-27 (Ling Rhames), Krugarr and Mainframe (Miley Cyrus). The scene ends with Stakar saying “What say we steal some sh*t?” and fade to black. So, what happened?

Well Sylvester Stallone himself confirmed via his instagram that Starhawk will be returning in the 3rd film via a behind the scenes video discussing the face capture process.

With Starhawk returning does this mean that we’ll get to see the rest of the Ravagers team? Sadly nothing has been confirmed as of yet since the filming has only just begun and the film itself isn’t set to release until May of 2023. Though we most likely will see them since the group has some serious star power behind it and it would be a waste of talent if not taken advantage of.

It will be cool to see another one of the OG Guardians teaming up with the newer generation as Yondu did in the first and second films. Perhaps both groups will work together to combat the film’s antagonist. Maybe we’ll even see a Ravagers Disney Plus series in the future.
