Disney has announced the global launch date for Disney+ and pricing for countries outside of the United States.

According to Variety Disney+ will begin rolling out internationally on November 12, the same day it launches in the U.S.  Canada and the Netherlands will also have access to the new streaming service on November 12th.  Australia and New Zealand will have availability a week later on November 19th.

Other “major market” countries can expect the service to come within the next two years.

Pricing:

It’s already been announced that the Disney+ service will be $6.99/month in the United States.  Canadian customers will have a a price point of $8.99/month (Canadian.) Customers in the Netherlands will have a price of €6.99/month (or €69.99 per year).

For customers in the United States there will be a special package offer for ESPN, Disney Plus and Hulu at $12.99/month.

Australian customers will have a price point of $8.99/month (Australian) or $89.99/year.  For those of you in New Zealand the price will be $9.99/month (New Zealand) or $99.99/year.

If you are on social media in the countries, getting a launch, expect a “Disney Plus social-media campaign involving the accounts for the major Disney brands featured in the service — Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic. Disney Plus has handles for the U.S. and Canada on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter; the Netherlands (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter); Australia (Facebook, Instagram); and New Zealand (Facebook, Instagram).”  Oh boy!

Variety also provided this information:

“At launch, consumers in each market will be able to subscribe to Disney Plus directly or via in-app purchase on the following platforms (with some variations depending on country):

• Apple’s iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Apple TV, and fully integrated with the Apple TV app (customers can subscribe to Disney Plus via in-app purchase);
• Google’s Android phones, Android TV devices, Google Chromecast and Chromecast built-in devices;
• Microsoft Xbox One;
• Sony Interactive Entertainment’s PlayStation 4 and all of Sony’s Android-based TVs; and
• Roku streaming players and Roku TV models.”
