The Walt Disney Company has announced that they will be suspending filming of live-action films currently in production, in an effort to stop the spread of Covid-19.

Now no cases have yet been reported with their staff, but this is a preventative measure to keep their people safe and healthy.

Here’s what a Disney Studio Representative had to say:

While there have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 on our productions, after considering the current environment and the best interests of our cast and crew, we have made the decision to pause production on some of our live-action films for a short time. We will continue to assess the situation and restart as soon as feasible.

Here are the films involved:

The Little Mermaid, The Last Epic, Nightmare Alley, the new Home Alone film and Shang-Chi. Two films in pre-production are also being delayed, they are Peter Pan and Wendy and Shrunk.

We will keep you posted as more develops.
