I’m going to preface this article with a disclaimer. I am a HUGE She-ra fan. However, I do not like the new show nor the way the media have treated long time fans so I am a bit biased here.

Universal Studios Orlando had just announced a new meet and greet at Islands of Adventure in the Lost Continent area.

I get it. The line from Hagrid’s Magical Creature Motorbike Adventure (Hagrid’s as I will call it) is really long and this is the overflow area. 100% I agree that something should be put here right now, but this?  There really are a lot of better choices. I’m sure this is more about synergy as Dreamworks is owned by Comcast and they want to find a way to promote the show more. Disney does it all the time too. From a marketing standpoint it’s an understandable choice.

From a nostalgic perspective I get it because they used to do costumed character interactions with the original She-ra. She was even with He-man in a Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade.

She really doesn’t look too bad though. I like her better as a face character than the show version at least.
