Are you looking for a light breakfast in a sit-down environment? Do you like a bit of fun with your breakfast? Will you be visiting Universal Orlando Resort? Does getting your breakfast served within a small guitar shaped plastic container appeal to you? If these things appeal to you, we have a breakfast option for you.
Once again, I speak of the only full/table service dining options in CityWalk at Universal Orlando, Hard Rock Café. As you may know, they serve breakfast from 8am until 10am each day of the week. Recently, I reviewed the Chorizo Breakfast Burrito and Eggs Benedict there. However, Hard Rock Café Orlando offers a breakfast menu for the little rock stars.
The Kid’s menu options costing $8.95 each (ages 10 and under) look like this:
ROXSTARS BREAKFAST 2-scrambled eggs, served with toast, home fries and fresh fruit
PINT SIZE PANCAKES 2-buttermilk pancakes with maple butter and maple syrup, served with fresh fruit. CLASSIC WAFFLES 2 waffle triangles with maple butter, maple syrup, and powdered sugar, served with fresh fruit.
As you can see from photos, the food arrives at your table in a cute guitar shaped plate. The plate comes with convenient sections for each part. The kid’s meal tastes better than the average kid’s meal. Also, the fruit provides the magic of fruit in Florida that seems to always taste better than in many parts of world.
You may have noticed that the menu says ages 10 and under. In addition, you may have observed a coffee cup near a kid’s meal guitar. Your mileage may vary but a wonderful lady past legal drinking age ordered the kid’s meal. The server never paused simply putting that request in to the cooks.
The menu may say 10 and under. Still, if you need a small amount of breakfast to get you going before a big theme park day, this goodness in a guitar will suffice. I did hear a concern about lack of protein with these meals. The portion size ranks as small for an adult entrée but reasonable for kid’s meal (or an adult with small appetite). In addition, you might just enjoy breakfast in a guitar.
