Apparently the high price tag wasn’t enough to stop guests from booking up the Boo Bash After Hours Event for October. All dates in the month of Halloween are now Sold Out.
Currently August and September are wide open with the following dates still available:
August: 20, 24, 27, and 31
September: 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, 17 and 19
August 10 and 17 are sold out as are September 21 and 24.
People were willing to pay the higher prices when Disney listed the event as an “After Hours” ticketed event and not a “Party.” The difference usually is that “After Hours” events tend to be much more limited in capacity. For that it’s worth more to people. Parties can be very crowded, especially when you are closer to the holiday.
However, we don’t know how light the crowds will really be for an event that trades of cost for capacity, because Disney added capacity to the event to sell more tickets. Many people, myself included, are not going to be happy if we had to pay about $50 more a ticket, get less time, and there is no parade, for same-ish level crowds that Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party has.
Apparently people are still willing to pay the higher prices and go so it’s a win for Disney.
We look forward to seeing reports on what people think and how crowded it actually is.
