Walt Disney World Clarifies That They Will Not Submit Opening Proposals Tomorrow

Earlier it was posted that Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and SeaWorld would be presenting proposals about reopening, including their selected opening dates, tomorrow during the 2PM Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force meeting.

Now Disney is saying that they will not be presenting that information tomorrow. Apparently Universal is to present first.


The news about them reopening was announced around 2PM at that time their shares also jumped, it could be coincidental, but the timing is rather odd. It seems like the stocks went up on the news that Walt Disney World could be moving forward. Then they “clarify” that they aren’t presenting. I’m interested to see where the stocks go as people learn that Disney is not presenting a date after-all.

It is interesting that it was “clarified” around the time trading ended.

But according to WFTV all three were to submit their proposals tomorrow:
