Runners it looks like you have the opportunity to enjoy races at Universal Orlando Resort too now!

Universal Orlando has just announced it’s inaugural Running Universal: Epic Character Race Weekend for February 1 and 2, 2020!

Universal Studios in California started doing these races last year with Minions and Jurrassic World races and now Orlando is getting in on the action!

Here’s the information from the Universal Orlando Resort press release:

“Ready… Set… Universal! On February 1 & 2, 2020, Running Universal comes to Orlando. Universal Orlando Resort will host its first-ever Running Universal Epic Character Race 5K and 10K and give runners a first-ever opportunity to race through Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure during an action-packed race weekend surrounded by some of the most iconic characters in pop culture.

Built on the success of the Running Universal races at Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Orlando’s Epic Character Race will provide runners with the chance to race surrounded by their favorite characters within some of the most immersive theme park environments ever created. Runners in this historic race will have the option to run multiple course lengths, including a 5K and a 10K, through two of Universal Orlando’s theme parks, including Universal’s Islands of Adventure – recently named TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice for #1 Amusement Park in the World for the fifth year in a row.”

Participants can earn “Instagram-worthy medals” and they will have access to special photo opportunities with their favorite characters along the race routes, earn exclusive swag and more!

Registration and packages for this event will go on sale next month. You can learn more about the 5k and 10k Running Universal’s Epic Character Race Weekend by visiting www.UniversalOrlando.com/RunningUniversal.
