Universal Mardi Gras Parade Schedule for 2022

0

Hooray! The full parade returns for Mardi Gras 2022 at Universal Orlando Resort. Recently, we got official confirmation of parade happening. Mardi Gras happens from February 5th until April 24th this year. We also got confirmation that guests throwing beads from the floats would return.

I will attempt to detail all information officially released by Universal Orlando about the parade.

For 2022, Universal stated that their genuine Mardi Gras parade floats would impress guests in a full parade. Costumed entertainers add to the parade experience with their enthusiasm.

This year features six new floats as well as six traditional Universal Mardi Gras floats. However, the one detail wrapped in mystery involved beads. We have confirmation that beads will be featured this year. We also know guests riding the floats will toss beads. At this point, we lack procedure for guests to be given privilege to toss beads. When officially published, we will have that information here at piratesandprincesses.net

Another aspect of mystery revolved around nights that parade would occur.

We do know that on opening night, February 5th, the parade starts at 7pm. This start time only happens on this night. Depending on which night you visit, the parade will start at different times. The rest of parade schedule looks like this:

Parade starts at 6:15 pm on the following dates:

  • Feb 6–11, 14–17, 22–25, 28

Parade starts at 7:15 pm on the following dates:

  • Feb 13, 18, 21, 27
  • Mar 2–4, 7–11

Parade starts at 7:30 pm on the following dates:

  • Mar 14–17, 21–24, 28–31
  • Apr 3–7, 9–24

Parade starts at 7:45 pm on the following dates:

  • Feb 19–20, 26
  • Mar 5–6, 12–13, 18–20, 25–27

Based on current restriction of facial coverings indoors at Universal Orlando, relief and excitement arises from Universal Orlando veterans based on this announcement. The only three nights lacking a parade are April 1st, 2nd, and 8th. Considering not too many years ago, the parade happened on only weekends, these announcements bring great news.

The Mardi Gras parade at Universal ranks as one of the best parades in area. Add in factor of catching some beads, guests love this parade. I look forward to being there for opening week of Mardi Gras to bring more coverage of this event.
