Universal Classic Monsters House Finally Officially Announced for Halloween Horror Nights 2022

Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights speculation season starts about 15 seconds after the previous year’s event ends. Halloween Horror Night (HHN) fans love talking about this spooky event. Of course, why would they not? This event moved from humble beginnings to the world’s premier spooky event.

Universal Pictures’ Legendary Monsters The Wolf Man, Dracula and The Mummy Unite for the First Time Ever at Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights in All-New Haunted Houses, “Universal Monsters: Legends Collide”

As a result, speculation of another Universal Classic Monster house for 2022 looked like the easiest prediction after last year’s event. The success of “Universal Monsters: The Bride of Frankenstein Lives” for HHN30 and #DietHHN in 2020 basically guaranteed a follow-up this year.  Also, based on the success of Universal Classic Monsters house for HHN 29, fans expected a follow-up for HHN 2022.

Then when Universal Studios Hollywood allegedly “leaked” an announcement, Orlando HHN fans got more excited. In the second week of May, the Hollywood website uploaded a graphic for their HHN with the title ‘Universal Monsters: Legends Collide.”  Fans even got a description of this house. It reads: “If you thought one Universal Monster was scary, how about three? Better summon your scream squad, ’cause you’re about to get caught in the middle of an epic battle between The Wolf Man, Dracula, and The Mummy, together for the first time ever. Their mission: To find the amulet that will break their curse. And they’ll destroy anyone who gets in their way.”

Since many speculation maps for HHN 2022 listed Universal Classic Monsters: The Mummy vs. the Wolfman, this “leak” looked like confirmation for the Orlando version. As typically happens, people saw this “leak” and assumed it was for Orlando. However, Orlando fans waited a little while for their monster house announcement. They watched their beloved Universal’s Classic Monster’s Café being closed with no house announcement by Universal Orlando. Orlando visitors did get the All Hallows Hulu Boo-Tique opening in Islands of Adventure on same day the café closed in Universal Studios Florida.

The monstrous wait finally ended when an official announcement happened for HHN 2022 in Orlando. We expect this house to be enjoyable for fans of these monsters. In addition, the cinematic characteristics of this house should match previous years.

The official announcement reads: “Universal Pictures’ most notorious horror icons, The Wolf Man, Dracula and The Mummy, come together for the first time ever in the all-new “Universal Monsters: Legends Collide” haunted houses.

This house will be both in Hollywood and Orlando.

According to Universal, “This bi-coastal experience will transport guests to the 19th century with the trio of monsters seeking one thing: The Amulet of Ra. The Wolf Man believes this ancient relic contains the power to finally lift his dreaded curse, while Dracula and The Mummy have nefarious plans to use it to bring humankind to its knees. With the full moon on the rise and a race against time, guests find themselves entangled in a bloodthirsty battle between the terrifying titans – and only one will survive.

Being someone who recently started covering HHN in Orlando, I have been looking forward to this house after the previous one from HHN30. However, I also want to find out what themed food will match this house. HHN fans have many more announcements to soak up in anticipation of this year’s event. As Universal Orlando says: “Never Go Alone”
