TSA Reverses Ban on Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Coke Bottles

Okay, we kind of figured this would happen.

The TSA has removed the ban on the “thermal detonator” Coke bottles. Previously their stance was they could not be taken on a plane due to them looking like “replica explosives.”

CNN reported that a TSA spokeswoman made a new statement:

“We have completed our review, and instructed our officers to treat these as an oversized liquid. Because these bottles contain liquids larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters), they should be put in checked baggage or emptied to be brought on as carry-on item.”

Which is what I thought they were going to do initially. Of course you can’t take that amount of liquid on a plane, but an empty bottle should have been fine. So if you want to take them home in carry on, just drink them first.
This all comes just in time as Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opened in Walt Disney World yesterday!
