I have some good news for everyone! Traditional character interaction is coming back to the U.S Disney parks! Disney has said that they plan on reintroducing this “as early as” April 18th.
These interactions will be returning to Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line and Aulani. It’s been more than two years since Disney guests have been able to hug characters!
“That’s right! Very soon, you will once again be able to hug Mickey Mouse, get an autograph from Mulan, and share a laugh with Goofy. We know many of you have missed these special moments, and your Disney character friends have missed you, too!”
Disney has said that it will likely happen in phases starting in spring and into early summer. I’m so excited!
“Recent trends and guidance have provided opportunities for us to bring back some of our most beloved magic, like character greetings and dining experiences. While not all locations will be available immediately, we anticipate reopening in phases throughout the spring and early summer.”
This is fantastic news!
