Top Three Things You Should Be Eating at Universal Orlando This Week (May 22nd, 2022)

We have reached that time of year when the USA school systems take breaks for the summer. The temperatures start to rise and more people have time away from responsibilities to visit theme parks. For many, this year functions as the first year in a while where summer gets to be celebrated. Groups that postponed summer vacations from 2020 and 2021 may flock to Orlando area for summer 2022. Some people might think a “Welcome Back Summer” promotion would be a good idea. As per usual, I offer three suggestions for this week leading into summer season.

Our first culinary stop at Universal Orlando this week involves welcoming back summer. The food truck, located in San Francisco area, slightly changed the menu. Two food trucks continue to sell food in a “Welcome Back Summer” food opportunity. The San Francisco one changed the “Chicken Biscuit with Red Eye Gravy” to a “Hot Honey (Chicken) Biscuit.” I had this new menu options on the first day available. I found it to be an improvement over the Mardi Gras version. For a more detailed review, click here.

Our second stop takes us to Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and Savory Feast Kitchen. If you read many of my articles, you should be concerned with how often I visit there. However, the dessert options star at this place. Recently, they added some cheesecakes to the dessert options. These may be purchased in groups of three for $20. Considering a Toothsome milkshake can cost $16, these might make a solid value for your dining enjoyment. The flavors currently offered are Chocolate Pecan Party Cheesecake, White Chocolate Raspberry Chocolate, and New York Style Cheesecake. Thanks as always to Universal Food Blog for the heads up about these.

If the crowds reach overwhelming levels to you on Saturday May 28th, you could take a shuttle bus to Aventura Hotel. A great food court there, The Urban Pantry, serves a wide variety of food options. Since May 28th is known as International Burger Day, you could order a “Gobbler Burger.” This turkey burger recently appeared on the menu at Urban Pantry in April. At a price point of $13, before discounts, this burger with either fries or onion rings as a side provides solid value. In addition, other sides are available normally but not on the day I visited. I wish you a happy beginning to summer. May you be able to welcome summer back with joy.

As always, eat like you mean it!
