Top Three Things You Should Be Eating at Universal Orlando This Week (April 24th, 2022)

This week’s installment of “Top 3” will be more of a prediction article. When this gets published, I should be on my way to the airport to fly to Orlando for a weeklong stay at the Aventura Hotel. Have I mentioned that ranks as my favorite hotel on Universal Orlando property recently? So, this week will be based on food items I anticipate ordering (or being with people who order) during my stay. If you would like to follow along, I spend way too much time on twitter for a grey-haired person. Still, I lack solid future prediction skills. However, my usual pattern involves posting to my twitter account often when in Orlando.

Ok, where do I start? Most likely, we will start Bar 17 and Bistro.

The rooftop bar resides on top of The Aventura hotel at Universal Orlando. For this to work, I will need to arrive before 10:30pm on my travel day when food generally stops being served here. I might order the bao buns that supposedly returned to the menu there. However, the most likely thing I will order is the Rooftop Burger. I would not define this as the best burger in Orlando area theme park resorts. Still, this burger deserves consideration for being the best overall burger value at Orlando area theme park resorts. For more details see review from October 2021.

NBC Sports Grill Citywalk

Tuesday, April 26th, should find me at NBC Sports Grill and Brew to celebrate a national food holiday. That day brings hope to pretzel lovers everywhere with National Pretzel Day. The aptly name “Large Warm Soft Pretzel” shines brightly on the appetizer menu here. Now, this large pretzel costs $13.95. However, the pretzel comes with jalapeño queso and Bertman Ball Park mustard. This pretzel provides a filling and enjoyable appetizer. Of course, this makes a great way to celebrate the food holiday.

Finally, Friday, April 29th, presents us with another food holiday. National Shrimp Scampi Day falls on April 29th. Since I will have several Landry’s restaurant gift cards with me, I anticipate a trip to Bubba Gump’s Shrimp Company. Based on this food holiday, Bubba Gump’s offers the best named entrée for this day. The “Of Course We Have Shrimp Scampi” costs $21.99. The menu description tells us it includes shrimp, linguine, lobster butter sauce, parmesan cheese, and some garlic bread to balance it out. I would never tell you this place ranks as the top restaurant at Universal Orlando. Still, this place fits this food holiday perfectly.

Once again, feel free to follow along on my culinary journey.

As always, eat like you mean it!
