Tom Holland Says He Wants An Amazing Spider-Man 3

Spider-Man: No Way Home‘s success continues to impress the skeptics who thought the film wouldn’t make more than $500 Million. Now the film has reached over $1.7 Billion. The careers of not only Tom Holland appear bright, but also the careers of his co-stars Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.

Tobey Maguire has been somewhat scarce with him mostly producing films throughout the 2010s, while Andrew Garfield’s career was somewhat affected by the poor reception of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. With the recent success of seeing both actors back in their iconic roles interest in their acting careers seems to have resurfaced. People really want to see more of Garfield. So much so that his co-star, Tom Holland, says that he wants to see him in the Spider-Man outfit one more time.

In a recent interview with about the upcoming Uncharted film, Tom Holland stated:

I would love to see The Amazing Spider-Man 3. I think what was so wonderful was how Andrew was able to kind of make amends with the character and the studio, you know, to kind of win the general public back. That scene where he saved Zendaya like, the fan reactions in the theater was so spectacular. So should Sony decide to do that? They would have my full support, and obviously so would Andrew.”

Andrew Garfield never got to finish his series due to the mixed reception of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The film was criticized for being unfocused and having too many characters and plot points. Trying to fit in Electro, Green Goblin, Gwen Stacy’s death and the formation of the Sinister Six was quite a lot to squeeze into one movie. The film’s “Failure” was what to eventually lead to Spider-Man joining the MCU, so perhaps it was a belling in disguise?

With SONY trying to make as many Spider-Man related projects as possible, with various spinoffs and animated films in the works, perhaps making a proper conclusion to his story  might interest SONY. Seeing Garfield’s Peter Parker return home after the events of No Way Home with the advice Maguire’s Peter gave him to become a better person once more. If SONY thinks that there’s money to be made then only time will tell if we’ll see Garfield wear the outfit one last time.
