Three Things You Should Be Eating at Universal Orlando This Week (November 14th, 2021)

This week, holiday season officially begins at Universal Orlando. I would expect many future weeks of this series filled with holiday menu items. This week, we feature only one holiday item.

Vegans should appreciate our first suggestion though. Now, this assumes they have a sweet tooth. The first suggestion is the Vegan Right Side Up Shake from Toothsome’s Chocolate Emporium and Savory Feast Kitchen.

This exquisite mixture starts with a piece of pineapple upside-down cake on top of the milkshake. An oat milk version fulfils the role of the large amount of whipped topping for this vegan treat. Also, this shake includes brown sugar, caramel, and pineapple flavors. Now, the shake’s appearance rivals the other shake offerings at Toothsome in terms of quality.

My friend, Xavier at Universal Food Blog, said the upside side down cake portion was good. He compared it to a previous vegan version over at Disney Springs stating that the Universal Orlando version was superior. Now, early reviews from my vegan friends claim this treat is excellent. Yet, several people expressed concern about potential allergy issue with this treat. Please confirm ingredients before you order if concerns about allergies.

Since weather is getting a bit cooler by Florida standards, the Loaded Jacket Potato warms up guests. You find this food item in the London waterfront area near the Diagon Alley. The London Taxi Hut food kiosk provides these warm items but the queue can become long at busier times. Though these warm potatoes are simple, they provide a consistent taste adventure. For more details, check this article.

Our final suggestion fits well with holiday season beginning. Hot cocoa signals a change of season. Hot beverages have been difficult for me to enjoy in Orlando even on cooler nights. In a delightful twist, Universal Orlando added a holiday treat this year with cocoa taste without warm beverage feeling. In the Mistletoe Pines area recently set up in CityWalk, guests can enjoy “Frozen Hot Cocoa.” The name itself creates an oxymoron but this treat may brighten your holiday time at Universal Orlando. These treats are created with hot chocolate mousse topped with sprinkles and mini marshmallows. As you may know, I fall for anything with sprinkles. Therefore, I anxiously await guest reports on these treats.

May you find your food items always enjoyable. Now, we hope this help with your next trip to Universal Orlando. This article series switches focus to holiday treats primarily starting next week to help you this holiday season.
