The New ‘Walt Disney Imagineering Presents the Epcot Experience’ in the Odyssey Opens Today

This is exciting to me! There is a new experience in the Odyssey building today at Epcot!

It’s a special look at Epcot. It’s an “immersive” space that “blends cutting-edge technology and fun, personal moments to create an environment that honors everything you love about the park.”

Like I’ve mentioned before, I’m a big fan of Epcot. I grew up going all the time and it holds a special place for me. I’m excited to get a look at this new exhibit!

Here’s the Disney Parks Blog description:

Inside, you’re surrounded by a seamless, 360-degree, floor-to-ceiling screen showing a continuous 12-minute film with vignettes about new experiences coming to the park. All the while, a three-dimensional artfully designed model in the center of the room appears to change in time with the film, as projection-mapping technology highlights different areas of the park in special ways.

The Epcot Experience also features new dimensional photo locations – including a scene where it looks like you’re standing atop the Spaceship Earth geosphere – historical artifacts on display, and attraction posters from throughout the park’s history. This place is a must-see!

It’s GORGEOUS!

What’s really cool is that the icons go through each one and it shows the corresponding part on the center model and talks about it in depth.

This one is for the new Play Pavilion:

The Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind part is a lot of fun. It starts out with a cool intro by a Zandarian and then Rocket commandeers the broadcast.

Spaceship Earth is shown. I am really worried they are going to ruin this one. After seeing this I am not put at ease.

It’s now Spaceship Earth Our Shared Story

They visit the World Showcase to look at the new China movie, Ratatouille and Mary Poppins attractions.

I believe it’s Harmonious, that is featured as the nighttime celebration of music. That name though.

You can actually watch the complete show in a video that BlogMickey did on YouTube. I highly recommend giving them a follow!

There it is! I do love how immersive and gorgeous it is. Still worried about other aspects of Epcot though.

What do you think? Comment and let us know!
