The beloved Main Street Electrical Parade “glows away” from Disneyland after tonight. Could it be headed for Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom next?
Disney quickly announced the limited-time return of the Main Street Electrical Parade when park attendance unexpectedly dropped this summer. With the word on the street being that Walt Disney World attendance is also down, could Disney send the classic nighttime attraction to the east coast soon to help bolster their numbers?
It’s very possible, although nothing has been announced yet.
However, there’s still one more chance to catch this Disney classic in Disneyland tonight.
Here’s more from the Disney Parks Blog…
That’s right ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls – it’s your last weekend to experience the half-million sparkling lights and “electro-syntho-magnetic musical sounds” before it glows away on Sept. 30.
The nighttime spectacle features a whimsical procession of favorite characters—including Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio, Cinderella, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pete’s Dragon and troupes of light-covered performers.
Here’s our video of the Main Street Electrical Parade from the hub of Magic Kingdom just days before it ended its run in Walt Disney World.
Figures crossed it finds its way back to Florida soon!
