Today Disney is celebrating Dole Whip Day. As part of the celebration they offered a history of Disney and Dole along with a food guide on what variations of the sweet treat are currently available and where you can find them.

Disney and Dole Packaged Foods have had a relationship for over 45 years.

It stared in 1976 when Dole sponsored Disneyland’s Enchanted Tiki Room. About eight years later The Dole Pineapple Whip was created and it was presented at the Aloha Isle in the Magic Kingdom.

Dole had taken over the sponsorship for the Aloha Isle (which was the Verandah Juice Bar) a year before the Dole Whip hit Orlando, in 1983.

Interestingly enough the Dole Whip was at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World for a short while before coming to Disneyland in 1986.

It was brought to Aulani in 2011 and then to Disney Cruise Lines in 2017.
