It appears that those who bought “The Art of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge” book might have gotten a bit of a spoiler about the upcoming ‘Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser” hotel.

According to WDWNT the book has an image and description of the “female” droid that will be shuttling passengers to from the Halcyon to Batuu.

The droid will be named “Rex Droid VO3A” and she’s basically a female version of Captain Rex from the original version of ‘Star Tours.’  She will be “driving” the shuttle that moves between Black Spire Outpost and the starcruiser.

Let’s just hope she’s a bit more skilled than he was

As a side note, you can still see Captain Rex. He also has a place at the Galaxy’s Edge expansion, as DJ Rex at Oga’s Cantina.

Here’s what her write-up says:

This is the driver who drives the shuttle back and forth from Batuu up to the ship. She’s actually not of the Halcyon; she is of the transport that is operated out of Black Spire Outpost.

We already know that the shuttles will be modified buses, made to be immersive and themed to to the transport shuttles. I have to wonder if they will be like a mobile “Star Tours” experience.

Disney is spending a lot of money on the new ‘Galactic Starcruiser’ hotel. A lot of the “immersion” that was promised in the parks is going to the hotel instead. I think they realize they can charge a lot more for “experience.”

Now we have another glimpse of what’s to come!

What do you think? Comment and let us know.
