It’s time for our occasional look at the progress going on at Epcot.
Of course these images are brought to you by @bioreconstruct on Twitter. He does a fantastic job and I highly recommend you give him a follow!
Currently Epcot is under massive construction as the re-imagining (please don’t suck) takes place, as well as the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, the new Space 220 restaurant and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Personally, I am really worried about this and I hope it does not become IPcot.
To be fair I do like the cool Epcot wall going on, for as much as one can like a construction wall, and the Odyssey looks good. The concept art for the return of the retro-fountain is exciting. (Please don’t suck!)
So let’s take a look! There’s a lot to see!
We will start off with the Fountain of Nations.
The opening day feature was closed and is being removed to make room for the new version of Epcot. Water from the fountain, that originally came from 29 nations, was kept to be added to a new water feature.
Now that area, as well as what was the Fountain View, Club Cool, and Character Spot have all been closed for this construction.

Now we will move over to the East side of Epcot.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is still coming along.
They are repainting the old Universe of Energy building to go with the Guardians themeing. This new attraction is set to open in 2021. The new Space 220 restaurant in the area is scheduled for this winter in 2019.

If we move over to the West side of Epcot we can see the pad is laid for the Moana Journey of Water walk-through area.

When finished it will be a walk-through area guests can explore themed to Moana.
Now we can go into the World Showcase to take a look at the France pavilion and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure opening Summer 2020.

The American Adventure Pavilion is also getting work at the old restaurant. The Liberty Inn has been closed ant it is transforming into the Regal Eagle Smokehouse. This new quick service restaurant is expected to open later this year.

So there we have a look at some of the construction going on at Epcot as it is completely transformed into the “new” Epcot.
