Star Wars DLC is Coming to Minecraft, and the Disney Sequels are NOT Part of It.

Star Wars DLC is coming to Minecraft, but The Force is not strong with Disney’s Star Wars sequel trilogy or Galaxy’s Edge. The newly announced DLC focuses on the two most bankable Star Wars brands at the moment — The Mandalorian and the evergreen Original Trilogy.

Here’s the official Minecraft Star Wars announcement trailer…

Classic scenes include Tatooine, Luke vs. Vader on Bespin, the Falcon leading a squadron of X-wings, the Endor Speeder Bike Chase, the Battle of Hoth and more.

Then we see a few scenes of The Mandalorian, including a blocky Baby Yoda.

Baby Yoda is coming to Minecraft via Star Wars DLC. Because of course he is.

Given the backlash and the waning public interest in Disney’s Star Wars sequels, it’s not hard to see why they bypassed it this time around. That’s not to say that they won’t, um, mine, characters like Ren and Kylo Ren at a later date.

You can get the Star Wars DLC in the Minecraft marketplace.
